OWCU is an onboard wireless communication unit equipped with an antenna and connected to the Ethernet switch 58 of the LRU 51. The device provides a connection to a broadband connection mainly provided for the transmission of aircraft related data and worldwide coverage, and is used for passenger or cabin crew related services.
